Cookie Policy

This page is a general-purpose draft, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by counsel familiar with your jurisdiction before relying on it.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use similar browser storage (local storage) for a few of the items below — we cover both here for clarity.

2. Cookies we use

NamePurposeTypeDuration
__sessionKeeps you signed in; verified on every request to authorize your account.Strictly necessary14 days
illakku_cookie_consentRemembers your cookie preference so we don't ask again. (Local storage.)Strictly necessaryUntil cleared
themeRemembers your light/dark mode preference. (Local storage.)PreferenceUntil cleared

Strictly necessary cookies can't be switched off — the Service can't function without them (for example, you can't stay signed in without __session). Choosing "Reject non-essential" in the cookie banner does not disable these.

3. Cookies we may add later

If we introduce usage analytics in the future, they will only load after you accept non-essential cookies in the banner, and this policy will be updated to describe them before they're enabled.

4. Managing your choice

You can change your cookie preference at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or by clearing your browser's site data for illakku.com.
